Utah’s Hogle Zoo is a Utah treasure. Located in a unique canyon setting at the mouth of Emigration Canyon in Salt Lake City’s eastern foothills since 1931, the Zoo is one of the top visited attractions in the state. Hogle Zoo has something for everyone. With nearly 900 animals to visit, the splendor of the animal kingdom is yours to behold.

Hogle Zoo’s mission is to nurture respect and appreciation for the natural world by providing diverse educational, recreational, and conservation opportunities. This is accomplished through imaginative exhibits and programs, professional animal care, and a commitment to excellence.

Visit the rare cats of Asian Highlands or the magnificent pachyderms of Elephant Encounter. Ride the popular Zoofari Express train or new Conservation Carousel, 42 hand-carved exotic animals with a portion of all proceeds going toward Zoo conservation programs.
